    Description

    Vintage Latin American crushed malachite Aztec Mayan God figure with snake.  Snakes were sacred and important cultural symbols of the feathered serpent God Quetzalcoatl.  The shedding of the snake skin and becoming a "brand new shiny snake" represented the symbol of rebirth and renewal and seemed to transcend the dull cycle of aging.
