offered is a set of original ca. 1940's/1950's hand painted ceramic tile encased in a tin and brass frame.Beautifully crafted.. the frames hand tooled by what looks to be the master tinsmith Chilo Botes of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico...a city know for it's exceptional tin work. One with a very fanciful yellow onion with long green stems on a cream ground ...the other a green bird in flight on a cream ground. Signed CB Mexico on the back of the frame. Dimensions: Onion.. 6" x 6 1/8"..the bird... 6" x 6". In beautiful condition with a lovely patina...crazing on the tiles which only adds to the wonderful vintage flavor.
