Los Castillo Mexico Style Vintage Taxco Horse Stallion Brass & Inlaid Stone Box

Offered for sale as shown is one (1) Brass & Inlaid Stone jewelery/trinket/cigarette/playing card box in the Taxco/Los Castillo, Mexico style.  Beautiful horse/stallion imagery. The dominate features of the horse appear to be brass while the horse's mane is made of of different metal, possibly a "silver" appearing white metal.  The eyes and tongue appear orange (could be copper or a copper colored metal).  Exact origin of the box is unknown but is believed to be Taxco, Mexico.
The box measures approximately 10" x 7" x 3".  The inlaid stones appear to be a combination of Lapis, Malachite and similar minerals.  The liner is made of wood (species unknown). The numbers 097-12-3858 are inscribed on the bottom.
We have not atempted to clean or test the metals, stones or wood as we are not experts.  The Los Castillo Brass Box is being sold "as-is".
