Description
An original Civil War Confederate related letter that belonged to George C. Freeman. I looked up George C. Freeman online and it said he was a soldier in the Chatham Artillery during the war. This letter is addressed to a Henry Freeman, who was obviously a relative of his. I'm not sure who wrote it. It has the send to address of Henry Freeman at Savannah Georgia. And above it appears to mention, Auraria. I think it could have been written before or after the war. I currently have other items listed that belonged to this individual. The letter has wear, there are stain marks, parts missing, tears, etc.
