Everything you could ever want to know about the Casas Grandes ruins in Chihuahua, Mexico and their relationships to Native Americans in North America, including all the archaeological information derived from the excavations. Very scarce complete 8-volume set in absolutely mint condition. It would be difficult to find a better set! Set consists of Volume 1:Preceramic-Viejo periods Pages 1-287; Volume 2: Medio Period Pages 288-755; Volume 3: Tardio & Espanoles Period Pages 756-1104; Volume 4: Dating & Architecture Pages 1-474; Volume 5: Architecture Pages 475-940; Volume 6: Ceramic & Shell Pages 1-560; Volume 7: Stone & Metal Pages 1-536; and Volume 8: Bone-Economy-Burials Pages 1-424. All Hardcover, 1974 1st edition, Approx 3,564 pages total between the 8 volumes, with lots of great photos and illustrations. Authors are Charles C. DiPeso, John B. Rinaldo and Gloria J. Fenner. Amerind Foundation Inc-Dragoon; Northland Press-Flagstaff Arizona. Each volume measures 9 1/2" x 12". All volumes in Excellent condition. No markings whatsoever except the previous owners name on the first page of the first volume (a dentist in El Paso, Texas). Perhaps the only condition item that I can see is the minor yellowing of the page edges that face outwards when the books are closed-from environment/sun over a period of years.
