If ever you go out puttin' and find
    yourself within jammin' distance of
Fresno, California, make it a point to
    visit Frankie (The Greek) Photopoulos.
Frankie is one of the beautiful ones,
the kind of a guy who can damn
quickly grow on you. He has that
    intangible something in his person-
ality that is attractive. You will sense
    the unmistakable spirit of brotherhood
    in The Greek.
Just as attractive, in another way,
    is The Greek, Frankie's knuckle
scooter. It is an eye-catching compro-
mise of chopper and Frisco digger
stylings, set in a mounting of 1 947
    Harley knucklehead, the most perfect
    chugger mill ever built.
    Rebuild engine work was entrusted
to Jerry Buttels who also did the wir-
ing. An old timer in the custom game,
Nick Carter, did the 10-inch extended
Harley springer front end. John Dove
did the frame molding work, while the
stylized flame paint job was done by
Neil Averill and Ralph Petersian. Val-
ley Chrome did the shiny work. And
if we know Frankie, he had the first
chick on the line ten minutes after the
    scoot was completed.
Frankie has been chick trolling on
scooters for about ten years, but he
wants to hang it up while he’s ahead.
The Greek is for sale at a value of
    00. That's not much to pay for
volumes of Greek and Harley history.
