July 28, 1872 letter on letterhead, from Charles J. Goodale, Taxidermist and Naturalist in Boston Massachusetts.  Written to F. Jillson, it appears regard the shade or color of a taxidermy project.  The letter is signed "Charlie."  It has staining and tattering and there is a piece of tape on the right hand side, where the document was damaged.  See scans for size and condition.
