Description
This was found in a New Orleans storage locker. It is an 1870 engraving print of General Robert E. Lee. This is NOT a reprint. It measures 20" x 13". It is not framed. On the engraving print it reads "Photo from real life". It is also signed by A.B. Walter who was the engraver. It also reads "Entered according to the Act Of Congress in the year 1870 by Bradley & Co. in the office of the Library of Congress Washington".You can read all the other inscriptions in the photos using the magnifier.
These were originally sold to raise money for his monument at his tomb. Again please read the total inscriptions in the pictures.
There is some staining on the left side border and a small stain on the right hand border. There is a little wrinkling near the top but this will lay flat when framed.
Please look at all 12 pictures which shows the condition and details of the piece which I may have left out.
